Staff and students at Bishop Burton College are celebrating after finding out that the College has been approved as an Equestrian training base for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The College will now feature in the London 2012 Pre-Games Training Camp Guide (the ‘Guide’), which will be used by National Olympic Committees (NOCs) when selecting their training bases for use in the run up to, and during the games.
Former Olympian Sally Gunnell gave her backing to the College’s bid when she visited the facility in June 2007.
